OBC Scholarship Assam 2026-27:

The online application process for OBC Scholarship Assam 2026-27 has been started through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Eligible OBC students of Assam can now apply for both Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship schemes and receive financial assistance directly in their bank accounts through the DBT system.

This year, One-Time Registration (OTR) has been made mandatory for all applicants. Students must generate their 14-digit OTR number before submitting the scholarship application.

Scholarship Amount

Pre-Matric Scholarship: Students studying in Class IX and X can receive up to ₹4,000 per year.

Post-Matric Scholarship: Students studying in Class XI, XII, Diploma, Degree, Technical and Professional courses can receive scholarship assistance ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 annually depending on the course category.

What is OTR?

OTR (One-Time Registration) is a unique 14-digit identification number generated through Aadhaar authentication. Once created, students can use the same OTR number for future scholarship applications on NSP without registering again every year.

How to Apply for OBC Scholarship Assam?

Step 1

Install the NSP OTR App and Aadhaar Face RD App on your smartphone.

Step 2

Complete Aadhaar Face Authentication and generate your 14-digit OTR Number.

Step 3

Visit the NSP Scholarship Portal and log in using your OTR number.

Step 4

Select the applicable scheme — Pre-Matric Scholarship or Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students.

Step 5

Enter all personal, academic and banking details correctly.

Step 6

Provide caste certificate, income certificate and bonafide certificate information.

Step 7

Verify all entered details and submit the application form.

Step 8

Save the Application ID for future reference and scholarship tracking.
